Do I need a second opinion?

Yes, it would be a particularly good idea if you are in one of the following situations:

  • You do not understand your diagnosis well.
  • It has been recommended that you have major surgery.
  • You have problems with your doctor or doubts about his recommendations.
  • Your condition has not improved with your present treatment, when it was expected that it would.
  • You have been diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer.
  • It would seem that you have no treatment possibilities.
  • The proposed treatment is very aggressive.
  • You have been offered different treatment alternatives.
  • You have been given an unconfirmed diagnosis.
  • You are interested in some kind of treatment that your doctor is not familiar with.
