 Frequently asked questions

How can I get what is needed to carry out a histopathological revision?

The easiest way is to tell your doctor that you would like to request a second opinion to review your diagnosis. Generally speaking, your doctor will provide you with the necessary material, including a written report, some slides with the tumoural tissue and, most importantly, the paraffin block, which you must send us. These materials are usually filed in the pathology department of the hospital where the biopsy was first processed and analysed. All patients have the right to request this material, which is kept for many years. Occasionally, you may be made to sign a document requesting this material: talk to your doctor to speed up the process, but do not hesitate to contact us about any problem that may arise. Send us this material as soon as possible, preferably via a reliable courier company.
